High Tea at the Vineyard Hotel- Part 1

If you live in Cape Town or ever visited and you have not been to the Vineyard Hotel and Spa, you are surely missing out. Last weekend we treated ourselves to a Sunday afternoon tea, more specifically the Lady Anne's High Tea on the Terrace.

The establishment was the original home of Lady Anne Barnard and it comprises of newer bedrooms designed by Capetonian Architects Jack Barnett and Revel Fox. The Hotel is situated in the lush suburb of Newlands on six acres of landscaped land on the banks of the Liesbeeck River. It is an oasis that cuts out the bustle and noise of the surrounding urban landscape.

The Lady Anne afternoon tea is R95.00 per head, which is essentially a 3 tiered platter of savoury and sweet treats. The platter is really large enough to share with two people, unless you seriously don't like to, you can have it all by yourself.

There was such a vast difference between last Sunday's weather and yesterday. We had to stay indoors since it was practically winter again...
